Filled with excitement to teach children to become lifelong readers and learners, I began my career in public education as a 4th grade teacher in 1992. I soon learned that there is no "one size fits all" way to teach just as there is no "one size fits all" student. My passion to make a difference for each student led me to many professional roles  across grade levels and school districts as well as specialized instructional supports including reading intervention, dyslexia and special education. I completed my Masters in Special Education - Educational Diagnostician and served as a campus diagnostician, facilitator of ARD (IEP) meetings for preschool, elementary, junior high, and high school aged students. I have completed special education evaluations and written independent and collaborative FIE (Full and Individual Evaluation) reports. 

As a newly retired teacher, I look forward to using my knowledge and experience to support families and collaborate with IEP teams with the goal of achieving the best instruction and services for students. 

With extensive experience teaching, evaluating and facilitating as well as knowledge of special education law and procedures, I am prepared to support you in achieving the best outcomes for your child.
